This block’s black sweeper is here, and it’s called Killing Wave. Seems like a boring name.
Anyway, it seems pretty playable in Standard. It won’t work for every deck, but it should be usable somewhere. Against armies of tokens, you can cast this for about 5 mana and knock out many creatures. Even better, if you can apply some pressure (or maybe compliment it with a Sorin’s Vengeance!) it could force your opponent to lose his whole board for just a little bit of mana.
Then again, it does have its downsides. Decks like Delver won’t care about paying 4 life each for the two creatures they have on the battlefield. They’ll just continue to beat you down and not worry about their own life total. This card should find a home somewhere, or in some sideboards, but I can’t quite put my finger on where yet.
At first glance I thought you had to pay X mana or sacrifice creatures. That would have been amazing. This is okay, I guess.
This would be fantastic in my necromancy deck, specifically with Grave Pact. <333
38. My idea of a perfect date.
Dinner somewhere awesome, like Montana’s or The Winchester Arms. Anything else generally falls outside of my definition of a date. Other things I like to do during those moments I spend with just Nygil because we love each other include play video games, play MtG, work on DnD characters or adventures, go to the movies, walk, play Heroscape, and play Warhammer 40k. <3
27. What I’m doing tomorrow.
Tomorrow is September 8, 2011. I intend to go to the market with Nygil and have a nice dinner at home with him. Maybe play Heroscape or Magic.
13. What I did yesterday.
Note: Yesterday, in this case, is August 3rd.
Yesterday I mostly sat around the house reading and trying not to die from the rainy humidity. Later in the evening Liz, Kaitlin and I went to buy make-up, then we went to Kaitlin’s house and Liz tried her new makeup. HUGE SUCCESS.
Then we went home and watched funny YouTube videos with Nygil, and played a game of Magic. Then there was sleep.
There are Magic cards all over my room.
